Health as the foundation of life
Without our health we have nothing - it's the core and foundation to human life. It's nutrition, movement, relationships, work, happiness, environment, housing, accessibility, physical, mental, emotional and medical. It's the foundation of how we show up to our families, friends, work, and communities every single day. It's the foundation of how we feel, how we look, what we can do, and how we experience life. With poor health, there is less to life. And we believe life was created to be lived fully - and you were created to live up to your full potential.
The vision for a healthier community
There can be a world in which all individuals have access to healthy, whole, fresh foods. Where neighbors gather and build community while sharing a meal and creating memories. Where kids are safe and healthy enough to play outside after school and make friendships that last a lifetime. Where parents and kids cook together and go on walks together. Where public transportation serves the workforce and jobs pay people adequate wages to build strong economies. Where people prioritize movement to be strong mentally and physically into their late lives.
A world like that is not built in one sector, by one non-profit, or funded by one government. It's built through collaboration, teamwork, and by taking the necessary risks for the greater good.
KC & Co. exists to bring the partners together, strategically consolidate initiatives, and build infrastructure to build a healthy foundation for everyone to experience every day as a normal part of life.
